Boris Prilutsky - School's Director IPPT Staff Classrom Experience Return To Main Page

Boris Prilutsky :

Over 30 years ago, Boris Prilutsky, a young Physical Rehabilitation Specialist, started to first practice in the former Soviet Union in the renowned field of sports medicine, treating patients with back and limb disorders. His success was truly magical. His unusual skills to treat patients made him famous throughout Russia, Israel and Europe.

He was born into a family of medical doctors who strongly believed in natural medicine. From age 11 he was taught by his grandfather to diagnose a displaced vertebrae, to "read" a spasmodic muscle, and to understand pain. His previous experiences and studies have given him a major advantage when in later years he decided to share his knowledge and practical experience.

During the last 25 years, more than 7000 students from Israel, Europe, and America have completed his educational program. Boris' method of using his professional experiences, as well as other clinical studies, to teach his students, instead of using books written by professional writers, made his educational program unique and successful.

The Classroom Experience:

Boris Giving A LectureNow that you have been introduced to our staff members, we would like to take you inside our classrooms.

In the beginning Boris would give a quick lecture on the lesson of the day.The classes are very animated and fast paced. Once the students understand the concepts of the day, "practical" part of the lesson begins.

Boris Giving A LectureEach lesson is designed to help the student understand the exercise, not memorize the motions. By the end of the class, the students understand the workings of the human physiology and how to treat it. In addition to learning massage techniques, Physical Therapy Aides learn how to use various electric muscle stimulators, like the ultrasound.

Correct Technique is vitalWhile the students practice, the instructor and his assistants walk around and assist each student in perfecting their technique. No student graduates from the Institute unless they have the necessary skills required to treat clients.

If a student lags behind, Boris or his instructors will work with the student, at no additional cost, until the student is up to speed. This is why 100% of all our graduates that have taken the city's massage therapist test have passed from the very first try.

UltrasoundThe students not only perform the massages , they also receive them from their classmates. This way the student knows how their clients will feel from the techniques they learn . In the end of the class, every student gets to enjoy and perform a number of professional full body massages. (This is the best part of the course).

Now that you have seen what our school is all about, we hope that you gained an interest and would like to sign up for a class. We encourage you to attend a free orientation or free massage class preview. For more information please call (310) 836-8811 or (818) 998-8995. We have plenty of parking available at both our Los Angeles or Encino. You can get complete directions to either campus from our Driving Directions section.
